Bonus Co-op Is Here and It Did Not Disappoint

Week One Recap: May 26, 2025

We did it. Bonus Co-op is officially underway, and if Week One is any indication, this is going to be a very good summer.

Tuesday, May 26 was our first day, and honestly? It was everything we hoped it would be.

The kids kicked things off with science, moved into survival skills with marshmallows over the fire (learning is better with snacks, full stop), and wrapped up the afternoon with target practice. By the time we got to the pool, nobody was worried about changing first. Clothes and all, everyone went in. It was chaotic. It was perfect.

What we did not fully anticipate was how reluctant everyone would be to leave. Parents got a gentle reminder that pickup was, in fact, a thing that needed to happen. A few families seemed to be testing whether we offered overnight stays.

We do not. Yet.

Week One verdict: the kids are happy, the program is everything we built it to be, and the Bonus Co-op has already taken on a life of its own.
