Week Two Recap: June 2, 2026
Week Two of Bonus Co-op is in the books, and we are already spoiled.

Today the older kids took over the kitchen for home ec and made lunch for the entire group. The younger kids were not to be outdone. They handled dessert. We are not going to say it was better than anything we could have made ourselves, but we are also not going to say it wasn't. The onions were so potent they had the entire room in tears. Truly a full sensory learning experience.
Outside, another group was deep in survival mode. Knot tying, shelter building, figuring out what actually holds and what falls apart the second someone leans on it. Useful life skills. Extremely entertaining to watch.
Recess was a full production. Soccer, hockey, and the play structure all running simultaneously, which is basically just a Tuesday at Cooks Creek.
And because we have apparently started a tradition, the day ended the only way it could. Pool party. Word travels fast around here. By Week Two the kids were already showing up with towels and swimsuits packed and ready to go.
We respect that kind of preparation.
Two weeks in and this group has already found its rhythm. The kids are comfortable, the energy is good, and someone brought us dessert today so we are thriving.
See you next Tuesday.
